Integrations
Better Stack incidents, where your team already talks.
Freesbe's Better Stack integration posts each uptime incident into the channel you pick, as one card with the monitor, what it checks, why it failed and the regions that saw it. Acknowledging shows on the card, and it turns green with how long the monitor was down when it's back up. With an API token, anyone in the channel can acknowledge or resolve the incident from the card.
One card per incident, kept current
A webhook in Better Stack's integrations. Each incident is one card, from started to resolved.
- The monitor, the address it checks and why it failed
- The regions that saw it, and who acknowledged it
- Turns green with how long it was down, and a reply for people following it
Acknowledge and resolve, from the card
Give Freesbe an Uptime API token, and Acknowledge and Resolve buttons appear on every incident's card. Better Stack stops escalating and records who did it.
A live problems board and reports
One card at the top of the channel lists every monitor down right now. Daily or weekly reports count incidents, total downtime, the typical time to recover and the monitors down most.
Questions
- Do heartbeats post too?
- Yes. A missed heartbeat is an incident in Better Stack, so it posts like a monitor that's down.
- Can different monitors go to different channels?
- Yes. Connect Better Stack once per channel, and put each connection's webhook in the escalation policy of the monitors it's for.
